MDC and LISC Jacksonville are partnering to host State of the South: Jacksonville, a convening focused on community resilience, scheduled for March 10-12 at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Registration for the event closes at the end of this week.
The three-day conference will address community resilience in the face of development, climate, and other pressures. Session topics include Southern data, heirs' property, community organizing, food access, family supports, disaster recovery, and storytelling.
The event is being held two weeks from the announcement date, with organizers encouraging interested participants to register before the deadline.
